In addition to its thousands of pages, the Machinery's Handbook 27 CD contains a complete copy of Machinery's Handbook 27 Guide. The Guide is the companion volume to the Handbook that explains the use of tables and formulas in the Handbook.
If you already own Machinery's Handbook 27 CD, there are only a few required steps involved in activating Machinery's Handbook Guide.

Purchase the activation key (OrderID) from the Industrial Press website (click here to place your order now). When you make your purchase, you will be sent the activation key (OrderID) by email.

When your email arrives, look for the OrderID near the center of the page. It will look something like the following: Your OrderID string(s) for this product:

Next, start the Machinery's Handbook 27 CD installation program by putting the CD into the drive. If you have not yet installed the Handbook, you can install the Handbook and the Guide at the same time. Select "Install Machinery's Handbook" as shown below.
Or, if you have already installed the Handbook, select either "Install Handbook Guide" or "Modify Handbook Installation."

The setup program proper will now start. If the Handbook is already installed, most of the information required has previously been entered. If you are installing the Handbook for the first time, carefully enter the requested information. When you get to the OrderID page shown below, enter the OrderID you recieved by email in the area that says "Enter OrderID for Guide".

The final step is to complete the installation program and authorize the Guide (and Handbook if this has not previously been done.) The authorization process is covered in detail in the file "Instructions.pdf", located on the Handbook CD, or follow the step-by-step instructions by clicking on the following link.
